About the Artist
I am an Illustrator and Surface Designer. Though most of my work is done digitally I am well-versed in many mediums and enjoy bringing them into my practice. Currently, I am drawing stylized animals to be put into patterns and packaging. I draw inspiration from real-life ecosystems and creatures. For example, I am working on a line of products that could be found in an aquarium gift shop that focuses on the animals and plants that one might find in a kelp forest. I generally sketch traditionally before finishing my illustrations digitally. I do my own hand lettering when the project calls for it and I put a lot of thought into how the lettering fits the rest of the composition. My goal through my art is to create beauty and whimsy for everyday life.
